100-hour classroom and 40-hour field training course

In the state of New York, you will need to obtain a home inspection license through the New York Division of Licensing Services. The first step in obtaining this license is to complete 100 Hours of Classroom training. AHIT offers the most efficient way to complete this requirement with a 12-day classroom course taught by experienced, licensed instructors who will teach you start of finish how to follow the Standards of Practice for an inspection, using real-life examples from their experience.

In addition to your classroom training, New York also requires that you complete 40 Hours of Field Training. AHIT offers field training over a 5-day session, that will consist of eight supervised inspections in local homes. You will have the opportunity to practice filling out your own reports, while learning proper report writing techniques and the overall process to perform a home inspection, start to finish.
